BAMF literacy course Learn to read and write Literacy course The first step in learning a new language is speaking it. Reading and writing in this language, on the other hand, is an entry into society and cultural life. Our literacy courses will help you with this. You finish with the scaled final test "Living in Germany" (LiD) and the German test for immigrants (DTZ). This course is for people who: learning to read and write for the first time want to understand and speak German better, would like to learn how to move freely and confidently in everyday life in Germany.

Content
The literacy course consists of a language course with 900 lessons and an orientation course with 100 lessons.

In the first 300 lessons you will learn to read and write the Latin alphabet. In the following 600 lessons (or 900 lessons under certain conditions) you will learn German at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). In doing so, you will acquire knowledge of German based on everyday content such as work, housing, health or offices and authorities.

In the orientation course with 100 hours of instruction you will receive comprehensive knowledge in the areas of: German legal system, history and culture, rights and obligations in Germany, forms of living together in society and values ​​that are important in Germany: These include religious freedom as well as tolerance and equal rights for women and men.
